The nation of Nazera is the center for magical learning where the majority of mages and coorgri go to train and live. Nazera is ruled over by the Council of Mages, the elites of the magical world. The council’s primary focus is to the magical arts and they have created organizations to handle the day to day operations of non-magical affairs. Generally the Council of Mages leaves these different organizations of Nazera to their own devices but from time to time they overrule their decisions.
Nazdell – The city of industry ruled over by the Council of Mages, Nazdell is the cultural center for the magical arts. While the rest of the cities of industry reach to the clouds, Nazdell dives deep into the ocean. The only surface structures of the city are the ports and landing strips. Mages from all over the world travel here for higher learning.
Qualaird Trench – A large rift along the sea floor, the Qualaird Trench is home to many large and dangerous aquatic animals. The trench runs deep and for those crazy enough to explore it, the magma river is said to light the bottom of the trench beautifully. It is rumored that the Leviathan uses the Qualaird Trench as a hideout between jobs.
Nazaloo Fishing Platforms – A pair of structures anchored in the northern waters of Nazera, the Nazaloo Fishing Platforms provide much of the food to Nazera. The twin platforms collect, sort, and package fish for distribution. The blood spill off in the waters here attracts many types of sharks and sometimes the giant sea snakes, the coorabuck.
The Broken Isles – Near the northeastern border of Nazera lays The Broken Isles and their native peoples. The people here are very primitive and are prone to attack first as first reactions. The isles are all connected by shallows in the area surrounding them. On the smallest of the islands there is a temple that is well guarded.
Nazsoome Harbor – To the northeast of Nazdell lays the Nazsoome Harbor, anchored to the ocean floor below. The harbor is a floating port city with many aquatic denizens. Below the surface there are more ports for submersibles. It is a major refueling station for the Nazera Naval Forces.
Ellmir Isles – To the west of Nazdell is the islands that make up the Ellmir Isles. The six islands are covered in dense jungles. While the remains of grufia villages linger in the area, their inhabitants ran from this place long ago. The natives here practice a dark magic soaked in blood.
Nazcree Drilling Post – Southwest of Nazdell floats the Nazcree Corporations four drilling platforms, the Nazcree Drilling Post taps into the minerals below on the ocean floor. Some of the world’s most powerful crystals are found by the post. The Nazcree Drilling Post crystals can handle surprisingly large amounts of power. Five Nazcree crystals can power all of Nazdell for several years.
Gadelon Island – A large island south of Nazdell, Gadelon Island is largely made up of grufia. The island is also a very large tourist destination, especially for overworked businessmen and celebrities.
Nazferon – Located on Gadelon Island, Nazferon is the only major city on the island. On the lowest level of Nazferon the city streets are canals full of ocean water. The ocean flow is fenced off to keep predators from getting to the canal swimmers. The Vampire Prince of Metal Ric Revanholt holds one of his many estates near the center of Nazferon.
Trade Border – Along the closest border of Nazera to the rest of the nations of the world lays the Trade Border, a large mariner port community where they rest, re-supply, and look for more work. At any time there can be over a thousand ships docked at the Trade Border.
Necromancer Vosh – Necromancer Vosh is the head of the Council of Mages. He is the strongest mage among the tissarrid and has a mastery of necromancy. Necromancer Vosh calls upon the dead to fight before him as he casts spells from behind.
Falroo of the Maabuu – Falroo of the Maabuu is one of the members of the Council of Mages. He is from the school of medicinal magic and trained in the healing arts. Councilor Falroo usually stays out of fights and prefers to mend the injured.
Elizabeth Cook – Elizabeth Cook is one of the members of the Council of Mages. The vampress is from the school of time magic and a trained soldier. Councilor Cook weaves time on the battlefield to support her allies and hamper her enemies.
Walva of Ellasar – Walva of Ellasar is one of the members of the Council of Mages. She is from the school of elemental magic and is unmatched at weaving flames. Councilor Walva is also a master thief and has amassed quite a fortune.
Ceeden of the Dawn – Ceeden of the Dawn is one of the members of the Council of Mages. He is from the school of protection magic and uses his spells to shield his allies. Councilor Ceeden has a love for the sea and spends his time between council sessions on the ocean.
Summoner Hurien – Summoner Hurien is one of the members of the Council of Mages. He is from the school of summoning magic and uses conjuring to attack his enemies. Councilor Hurien is a world class explorer and has traversed most of the planet, meeting many of its people.
Sapharon Walters – Sapharon Walters is one of the members of the Council of Mages. She is from the school of necromancy and an expert hunter. Being an elderly human, Councilor Walters is often underestimated when a fight begins.
Commander Leeara – Commander Leeara is in charge of the Nazera Naval Forces. The tissarrid female is a powerful protector and masterful tactician. Commander Leeara commands several hundred juncas but is normally found aboard her battle junca, Warden.
Ric Revanholt – The Vampire Prince of Metal Ric Revanholt is most recognized name in music. He is a powerful elementalist but mainly uses those skills as pyrotechnics for his stage shows. Ric Revanholt can be found on tour throughout the world but he keeps a home in the city of Nazferon.
